Silence

Your silence speaks louder than words...you dont have to say anything, I already know everything I need to know.

Down By The River

Well...I sit here down by the river...writing to you on my sidekick. Its late but not too late...only like quarter to 11:00...kinda just thought I'd come down here by myself and just hang out for a while.

A lot has been on my mind lately, so I thought I'd come here to get away from the silence of my apartment. Its actually quite quiet here for being NYC...although still noisy enough with the humming of generators from the buildings behind me, the dull drone of the traffic across the river, and the waves gently breaking on the rocks a few feet in front of me...enough noise to keep my thoughts from spinning around in my head. Every few minutes a passerby walks by, usually a couple hand in hand...either that or someone trotting along in their nightly jog. Still...its quite peaceful. Kinda makes me wonder why I don't come out here often. It's almost a treat to living in this place people refer to as "The Big Apple." Not many people can walk out their apartment building to see a body of water only several yards away.

I always loved rivers, lakes, and things. I wanted a pond so badly in my back yard growing up, but I have to say, my parents did a great job making a substitute for that...a "barrel pond" in which our goldfish and turtles live in during the right seasons on our back porch. I even went to college right off the Hudson River....yet I didn't take much advantage of that either like I probably should have. Sometimes I think we take things forgranted in life...actually, I know we do. Its the simple things...those simple things are what makes life so beautiful. God works his mysterious ways. I wonder what His thoughts are on such an industrious city such as this. Does it take away earth's beauty, or does it only add to how amazing this place is? And do you ever wonder how bridges stay up? I mean, there's only a few bases...and they're holding up thousands of tons of weight! I feel like they would collapse in the middle. But I suppose that's just me being uneducated in the feild of architecture. It still amazes me, though.

And now, while I can't see a star in the sky, either from the smog of the city or the clouds from a desolate day...it still remains a beautiful night with a light summer breeze. And as a boat cruise floats past going upstream against the current all while playing "Girls just wanna have fun," rain drops start to fall lightly on my head...so, I believe, that is my cue to wrap this up and go inside where I can lay down under my comfy blanket on my comfy couch so that I can continue to read "Lovely Bones" in which I recommend to absolutely everyone if they haven't read it already. I might just even call it my favorite book ever...and I'm only half-way through it.

Well that's it for now...a different kinda of journal entry, I know, but I hope you enjoyed it. I have a feeling I might be writing more of "these types" in the times to come. Hope y'all have a good night, though. Much love.

Paris Hilton & Warped Tour (what a combo)

First off, here's a picture from the day Paramore shot "Emergency" out in LA. You guys all have to do me a favor...when it comes out, vote for it like crazy so it gets tons of airtime.

So I Hung Out With Paris Hilton...

...for real. On Wednesday night, I ended up going to this very private party of no more than 50 people at Le Cirque in the city...for anybody familiar with restaurants in NYC, it's one of the most exclusive and expensive ones. It was mostly family and close friends, but the rest were buisness counterparts which was partially the reason I was there. My friend is Joss Stone's manager and he is looking to team up with the same people Paris use for an upcoming project, so they had invited him to join. Paris ended up being pretty nice, but we talked to Mr. & Mrs. Hilton the most. Mr. came up to us first and started talking to us about her new album and stuff. He seemed really happy with it and it was cool to see how much he supported his daughter (although I'm sure there were still dollar signs in the back of his eyes). He was nice, though. And then Mrs. Hilton was super friendly, too. She was kind of a riot...she totally cracked me up...maybe even a lil diztier than Paris, either that or just feelin a lil tipsy. Everyone there turned out to be extremely nice...except I can't tell the kind of vibes we got from Paris's socialite friends (there was only a handful). Their faces seemed familiar, but I couldn't put names on them...mostly guys and pretty much all model types, of course...kinda made me gag, though. They kinda looked like plastic dolls, and as her posé, they formed a CONSTANT circle around Paris. She looks exactly like she does in all her pictures...I was kinda surprised cause normally when I meet celebrities they turn out to be a bit of a disappointment, but pretty much everything about her was perfect, but I guess I really didn't expect any less...I mean, that is her job, right? To just go to parties and look perfect all the time...damn what a tough job. I wanna know who made her dress because I loved it. It was a pretty creamsicle color and it kinda reminded me of this dress my mom had way back in the 70's. Anyways, all I can say is, when it comes down to it, she is the best media whore out there, and I don't hate.

Warped Tour 2006

Can I get a "woot woot" for Warped Tour 2006? So yea, it began on Thursday in Columbia, MD...and I got to go so I could spend time with the boy (it's been a bit too long since I last saw him in May, so we decided not to wait another 2 weeks when I fly out to Houston to see eachother again). The bus ride down was easy and I slept most of the way cause I had to leave my apartment by 5:30am just to get there in time. It was such a beautiful day out and it makes me wish I could be outdoors more...lol, kinda sounds funny, but being a city girl, now, really makes you miss these kinda things. Warped almost reminds me of being back at camp...oh how I miss those days of being a camp director, haha. Anyways, it was really nice out, and I got to see their new tour bus which is absolutely amazing and ridiculously huge. I still can't believe it has 12 beds? It's really really nice and they definitely deserve it after traveling in a 12-person van for a year. I can't wait until I fly out at the end of the month to be on tour with them for a few days cause there's so much I want to see going on at Warped (plus, I'm dying to see my boyfriend again). I only really got to see UnderOATH play. Jeremy brought me up on stage to watch as we stood right behind them. I've never seen them play live before, and I swear they gave me the chills. I can't tell what's more amazing...the band and their energy they give off or watching the crowd feed off of their energy. It's so crazy to see such a connection. They are really really amazing and just to see people so dedicated and into their craft...it's so intense. There is NOTHING like performing on a stage...and I've said it a million times, but to either be the one performing or to be the one on the receiving end, it is such a rush that can not be described unless you are there to experience it. Usually, unless I'm the one performing (referring back to dance of course) I tend to like to sit back and just watch the entire scene going on so I can just soak it all up and absorb everything that is going on around me. And I hope everyone has at least experienced this once or twice in their lives cause believe or not, I know people who haven't...and that, to me...just isn't right. So before I get any deeper on the subject...the rest of the day was great. I was a bit sad, though, that I didn't get to see Monty Are I play, but Justin didn't call me back until it was too late. Guess I'll just have to wait till August to see them play in the city again...booo. Anyways, I'll put up pictures sometime soon. For next time, I'm gonna have to get all the set times for all the bands I want to try and see and I definitely need some more CDs so I'm gonna have to start saving up my cash again...yikes! Can't wait.

Well, that's it for now.....hope this wasn't to long for ya and I hope all is well with everyone.

Much love from above,
♥ J ♥

Good Things....

Despite the huge lay-off we had at my company last week (32 people got let go)...so many amazing things are happening right now and this is just a fun-packed week. I'm gonna sum it all up really quickly, though, cause I'm a bit tired.

1)On Sunday I went to see Monty Are I play at Continental (yes, Monty had to change their name again...but this time it's official, not to mention they are now signed to Stolen Transmission Records). Let me just tell you....it was definitely "face-melting." Their new stuff is absolutely amazing, and I strongly encourage everyone to buy their CD when it comes out on August 1st.
Check them out at either www.montyarei.com or www.myspace.com/montyarei

2)Rhapsody's class last night was simply off the hook! Cranked up the bass to a new Busta joint...and I'm telling you right now, I'm running out asap to buy this whole album. And as much as I love being a girl and workin the sexy vibe...I freakin love the nights where we get to play up the whole "I'm a bad-ass gansta" role. I am a girl, right? lol. I wish I had video to show.

3)My girl, Masha, that I dance with is starting out her music career and she just opened up her myspace page this week. She's a super cool girl...gorgeous, too. Definitely a triple threat (or maybe even more for that matter...she's modeled for national ads and even appeared on my favorite tv show, Law & Order). As soon as she gets songs up, you know you'll be hearing from me to go check out her page.

4)Tomorrow, I am going to a Paris Hilton soiree. Yes, that's right...Miss "Stars Are Blind" herself is the guest of honor. We're taking bets on whether or not she shows up at all...but it's an extremely classy event at Le Cirque (for those that live in Manhattan, know the seriousness of all this). Michael Opeinnheimer and myself have been practicing our snobby voices so we can mingle with the likes of all the socialites. Should be quite interesting.

5)All I'm gonna say is that my boyfriend's band has their second video coming out really soon. It's for their song "Emergency" and it's simply amazing. It will totally rock your socks off and I can't wait for it to come out so y'all can see it. They all look so good. I will post up a picture from the day of the shoot sometime really soon.

6)Warped Tour starts this Thursday in Columbia, Maryland and I get to go see my one and only love in just one more day. I can't even describe how happy this makes me. I've been beaming all week just knowing that I will get to see him again so soon.

Uh...I'm definitely on a summer vibe and lovin it.

Love you all!

July Issue of AP Magazine

Sooooo...this will be short and sweet cause I don't feel like looking at my computer screen anymore. My boyfriend just left for Japan yesterday to tour with Punchline and October Fall. I'm already missing him like crazy, so thank god, it's not that long of a tour. But I got the chance to pick up the latest issue of AP Magazine where they were featured once again (not to mention another 8 times in this same issue). So here's their full-page spread (I was too lazy to put up the other little mentions so this is all I gots for ya).

Oh yah, and PS...don't forget to check out my post below about Cassie.

Oh...and PPS, I picked out the shirt Jeremy is wearing in this shoot ;)

Support Cassie

It's all about the support people. And I'm here to support one of R&B best up and coming new artist, Cassie. A couple of my friends are dancing with her on tour, not to mention...my lovely Rhapsody is her choreographer. She also choreographed her video...so with this...you must check it out as it was debuted on TRL today.

Also, a special note from Cassie...my cousin booked her to perform in Hartford tonight, but unfortunately with the debut on TRL today in San Diego she had to cancel (they bumped up the debut 1 week early). However, Rhapsody relayed the message to me that she wanted everyone to know she was really upset she could not perform tonight in Hartford, especially seeing as it's her homestate. She is definitely planning on rescheduling and hopefully for her CD release in August...so that's somethin to look forward to. Stay tuned for more on Cassie cause I've heard her entire album...and it's ON FIRE!!!

Show the support people and look for Cassie's CD in stores August 8th.

PS...I'll be posting videos of Cassie and my girls on my Media Page hopefully sometime soon, in the meantime...download Cassie's "Me & U" on iTunes. Peace & Love.

BAMBOOZLE 2006

Wow, this past week has been the most pointless week at work ever! I have been so bored and had to try and make up things for myself to do to keep busy. My desk is even clean! Lord, you know what that means...I absolutely had nothing to do besides lurk around on myspace, cruise through livejournals, and write the most hilarious emails ever back and forth between Michael Opeinnheimer, Temis, and I. (I think I'll have to document these somewhere...and please refer to Temis's blog on myspace for the most hilarious event occuring this week involving almonds and a messanger...yea, we're nuts...haha, ok, bad joke).

Anyways, I did have a very fun weekend. I met up with my boyfriend Thursday night over in Poughkeepsie at his show on The Rocket Summer tour. It was at The Loft again where we first met back in October. :) (Good ol' Po-town!) But besides having an allergic reaction we had a really good time (like we always do). I was there to take care of him and make him feel better anyways. :-P (however, I still don't think he should've played. What can I say...he's a trooper) But we ended up taking last train back to the city and didn't get home 'till late. Unfortunately I still had to go into work the next day (I shoulda listened to Jeremy and called out sick). Friday's are nice though cause they are half-days and I feel like it's pointless to call outta work when you get out at 1:00. Alsooo, I forgot to mention before, but there's a lay-off going on at work and we've been waiting to hear for weeks of the outcome. Our company is supposedly getting cut in half and in the rumor-mill, Friday was supposed to be THE day (but once again, we were wrong). Pretty much everyone is planning on getting laid-off, and quite frankly, the majority of us actually want to. But anyways, Jeremy got to stay home all morning and slept in bed while I did absolutely nothing at work. That really sucked. So when I got home, we rushed to get to venue they were playing at that night, The Knitting Factory. Got there...had enough time to grab a nice bite to eat, then it was time to roll. Mike and Ash got tickets to come to the show, so they came right before they went on. Mike used to go to their shows with me before I met Jeremy, and Ash had really wanted to see them perform. It was a good time and we had a nice balcony view. Afterwards, we went out to the Comedy Cellar, which was fun but I was so tired, I literally was asleep through every comedian except for the first and the last. It was kinda funny and I just laughed at myself. One of the comedians was in the middle of their joke and just looked at Jeremy and was like "Oh hey, Axel!" and then went right back to his joke. It was funny. And then the last comedian (who's from Best Week Ever) started crackin on him a lot (it's a small place, so that's what they do...pick on people in the audience). He was like "Dude, what are you...in a band or somethin?" Haha...poor Jeremy was just like "Uh yeah." He was so cute...I love my boy. Anyways, he asked him what band and cracked on him a lot more, but it was cool cause after the show was over, a couple people came up to him afterwards and were like "Dude, I love your band" and they were like 30...so yeah, that was cool. So after we left it took us FOREVER to get home and I was literally about to cry cause sometimes the city is just so annoying...not to mention we had to get up at 6:00 the next morning to go to Bamboozle in NJ (had to be there for 9:30). And let me tell you, that whole trip was NOT fun either...here's how our morning went:

6:00am - wake up call (pack, shower, get dressed & ready to go)
7:15am - get on bus
7:30am - get on subway
8:05am - walk to PENN station (w/ 300 lbs of bags)
8:14 - get on NJ transit train
8:27 - get off train to transfer, walking through what seemed bigger than an airport
8:35 - get on Rutherford train
8:41 - get off train and figure out where the hell we were
8:43 - call a cab
9:00 - missed first cab
9:13 - finally get in cab
9:14 - try and convince cabbie that there actually is a sports arena (the Giants Stadium)
9:16 - almost get hit by a train
9:30 - arrive at the venue even though the cab driver basically spoke no english

Rest of the day - complete chaos!

So yea, this day was extremely eventful. I tried to help Heather and Christi most of the day in the Merch tent. Poor Heather never got a break...it was insane. Even while they were playing, people were still buying merch. Then, by the time I got back to the booth right after they finished their set on stage...I could barely get back to the tent cause there was at least 300 people there just waiting for Paramore (see pics below). I literally had to swim through people and one girl was just like "I'm not moving" so she must have thought I was tryin to cut her. God, people can be vicious...lol. The whole day was so much fun though. I love stuff like this, so I had a really good time. We attempted to go to the afterparty, but when we got back to the hotel I kinda got in an arguement with my parents over the phone so I was upset for a lil bit...then we kinda feel asleep...hence, we didn't make it out. I felt bad, but anyways...to continue (wow, this is long...sorry)...we drove to Connecticut the next day. Jeremy got to meet my parents (finally) and my brother and his girlfriend. We all went out to dinner and that was really really nice. Texas Roadhouse...yum. But sadly, we dropped him back off at the venue they were playing at that night and I had to say goodbye cause my parents were driving me back to the train station so I could go home back to the city.
So yea...that was my weekend. I had a great time. (Wow, I haven't written like that in a long time...I'm such a story teller, haha) Anyways, here are just a few pics from Bamboozle:

McCabe: Yea, right under my desk....10 proof

----McCabe leaves the room and 5 minutes later comes back----

Daveeds: I didn't think he was serious!!!

NEW Pics

Yep, NEW PICS. These ones are from another Paramore show...this time in Wilton, CT at the Trackside Teen Center. It was a cool place that was basically just a big house with a small stage in the garage. Couldn't really see anything unless you were in front (Heather, Christi, and I had to stand on chairs at the Merch table just to see), but then someone pulled the first alarm during their first song and this resulted in mad chaos. Everyone had to gather in the parking lot and wait for the fire department to come. I think Bayside got on top of a vehicle and started chanting to the crowd, but we were in the back of the building waiting for everything to clear. And then, since there's apparently a curfew in CT or at least Wilton, they only let them do 2 more songs cause Bayside had yet to go on. So yea, a lil crazy, but nonetheless another good time.

PS. I think I need more LJ friends....or do I? I dunno. I kind of enjoy my lil clan. Still not a LJ expert, though.

Peace n' Love,

My Letter to the UK

Dear UK,

I am writing you right now cause I think you have something that is of great value to me. He's about 6ft tall (maybe more like 5'11), blonde hair, blue eyes (that change colors with what he wears), has this really cute accent that I guess you can call "Southern," and tends to have a liking to chicken fingers and ketchup (possibly even tostitos). So yes, I'd like ma jerms back, please. I think you've had him for long enough and it's only fair that you return him to me. Without him, I will wilt away and probably turn into a sea monkey...so yea, this is why I need him back. Thanks.

Him ... ♥

I don't even know where to start, but I miss him so much.

I know we don't get to see eachother everyday, but I always feel like he is right here with me. Not a moment goes by without him being on my mind, and I've fallen more and more in love with him everyday. Never have I ever felt this way about someone. I've never met anyone like him. He is all I could have ever wanted in a boyfriend and so much more. His heart is always in the right place and I've learned so much from him already. He makes me want to be a better person...and I wish that upon myself so that I can be just that for him. He means the world to me and without him I wouldn't know how happy I could be.

I love you, Jeremy...with all my heart.

A Quickie

Ok so I went back and read my entry from last night, and I'm not too sure if it made sense, but in my head it definitely did. So take it as you will. Kinda makes me feel a bit vulnerable putting my feelings out there, but whatever. I meant what I said.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know....I have tons of NEW PICS up! Pictures from my trip to Tennessee about a month ago and pictures from two Paramore shows (one in Long Island & one from The Knitting Factory here in the city). Feel free to take a gander.

Plus, hopefully sometime in the near future, I am looking to put up more video links. I have tons from our dance classes at Broadway Dance Center and they are crazy hott. Which also, brings me to Cassie. I'll definitely mention more about her later, but y'all should be watching out for her cause she's gonna blow up real soon and her entire album is definitely hott. Rhapsody has been working with her and she's been in and out of BDC a lot. Check her out if you haven't already (http://www.myspace.com/cassiemyspacemusic).

Aight that's it for now...I gotta get back to work...Much love!

Reflective

Ok...so everytime I go to write an entry...I never end up finishing. So I'm gonna step away from being so structured and just kinda write...type...whatever it is that I'm thinking. I suppose my mind has been on cloud 9 lately, so my thoughts have been all over the place, although that's nothing really new. I've always thought that I thunk too much...wait, that's not even right. But do you ever wonder how things happen? Like....why? Why do these sorts of things happen? There's a reason, right? Definitely. I definitely believe that everything happens for a reason, and that one event always leads to another. There's a reason why you meet the people you do...a reason why we go through certain experiences, good OR bad. We may not find out exactly why for a long time....or we may never even get to figure it out at all....but still, there is a reason. God gave us this beautiful gift of life and it is ours to do what we will with it. It's only what we make of it, so why not make it the best?

I've never felt this way before and I never want it to stop. It kinda caught me by surprise. I never expected for this to happen, and I didn't mean for it to, but I couldn't be happier that it did. I'm sorry if lately I've seemed aloof and I'm sorry if I've hurt anybody in the process, but I've fallen. I almost tried hard not to, but I think you kind of know when it's ok....when it's ok to let yourself go. You almost deserve it to yourself. Why not feel happy? Why not enjoy life the way it was meant to. Sure, there are obstacles, no one ever said it would be easy. What is meant to be, will be.

Everything has happened so fast, but there's no question in my mind that I love him. He makes me feel beautiful, and every minute away from him seems like an eternity. Not a second goes by that I don't think of him, and I am happiest when we are together. I feel so comfortable around him and I love the way he makes me laugh. He is everything I've always hoped for and more. He is this amazing person and I am lucky enough that he is mine.

The Week In Review

Been a couple days, but I'm workin on it. So yea, I put up new pics from the John Varvatos Fashion Show & Afterparty. Such a fun night...y'all can tell from the pictures, I'm sure. Don't be afraid to comment on them or rate them. I like some sort of feedback so I know you're all alive out there.

This Past Week: My Interview
I went on an interview for basically what I would call my ultimate dream job. Something like this, I believe only comes around once in a blue moon...and as far as I know, blue moons usually only happen once in one's lifetime, lol...so yea, it seemed soooo friggin' cool. It's a position as an assistant stylist for an agency that does magazine/editorial shoots, celebrity clients, etc...and the environment and everyone seemed so chill...I loved it. I'm used to the whole corporate vibe which I hate so much. It's so much more my style and I would loooooooove to get this job, but unfortunately the pay is so low. I totally am not surprised, though, cause that's just how it is when you start out in the fashion industry, but I mean, it's hard for me to take a step back...especially when my rent is costing me a fortune. NYC is by no means cheap. I would definitely be willing take a step back for this job just so I could transfer to this side of the industry, but I really just can't afford to. I would not be able to pay my rent each month and it just breaks my heart. It's like 20% less than what I'm getting paid now and that's signicant drop! Uhhh, I want to cry. But who knows, I don't even know if I got the job anyways...so I guess there's no need to worry just yet. I'll just have to wait and see. *sigh*

Yesterday...St. Patty's Day
So for all of you that really know me out there...know that I absolutely DESPISE St. Patrick's Day! As much as I love the color green...I boycott it this day every year. In my eyes, it is the most sorry excuse for a holiday. Do you even know what the hell you are really celebrating??? And before you start getting all defensive, just know that I, too, am part Irish. But why does America seem to think that this day is purely an excuse to get drunk (yes, New Year's is like that too, but it seems more logical). Here, St. Patrick's Day is about wearing green & getting drunk on green beer...y'all know this is a religious holiday, right? I just hate how people misuse holidays to get obliterated...I mean, sure, a lil celebrating is great for any holiday, but the fact that like 90% of people only think of St Patricks Day as another reason to drink just annoys the crap out of me. Ok, so I'm starting to go on way too much about this, so i'll end it all here. Hope you all had fun and stayed safe, but just know that you didn't see me partaking in any of these events....I went to dance class instead, what a surprise...haha jk. Great class last night, though...way to bring it back to the street, Jamie. So happy you chose to do that routine...it is, by far, one of my all time favs. GANGSTA!

Today
Today, I woke up early...I did my usual attempt to clean on a Saturday morning only to come out, once again, unsuccessful. I ended up going to visit my friend Yaffa, though, (only some have the privilege of knowing who she is)...came home, went to the market on my lil island and bought me some hella good fresh strawberries...yum. Now, I'm bout to get ready to go down to Brooklyn to start the festivities and celebrate Temis's birthday, Williamsburg style....if any of you are out down that way, hit up my cell or the 'Kick and we'll get down...peace n' love.

My New Obsession.....YouTube

Ok so I'm kind of addicted to this new site called YouTube.com. It's a site that hosts your videos for free (although, I don't know for how long), but it's pretty much cool cause you can share videos and whatnot. And since I tried uploading some dance videos to my site before and didn't really have them work out too well for me, I just uploaded them there and now they work perfectly. So if you go to my media page (once again, "Make Me Smile/Cry") you'll see I added like 5 new videos. Two are from dance. One was from Luam's class this past Thursday, and the other is from Jamie's class back in October (you'll see me in the front with the camo hoodie and hat). Then 2 others are from Jeremy's show I went to about 2 weeks ago in Randolph, NJ. It was a really great performance with a really great crowd, so you should check 'em out. And then, the last one, I randomly came across on YouTube...it's from the Warped date I went to last summer to see Monty. Ryan was really sick that day and the quality's not great (in fact, it kinda sux and doesn't do the boys justice). But yea, videos are just as fun as pictures...so go check them out and let me know if you likey.

On another note...you should all go out and pick up the latest copy of AP (Alternative Press) Magazine cause my babe's band has a huge 2 page spread as 'Bands To Know For 2006.'

PS...I hear squirrels are looking really hott this year (sorry, I couldn't resist)...i♥u

That's it for now. Off to a good start with keepin up the ups! ;)

Much love!

Alright, so I made this promise to myself to freakin update this thing more often because my website is becoming boring, and Jiscilla is anything but boring (although, I'm sure some will beg to differ seeing as I never go out anymore...but work with me, here, people). So as part of me updating this lil section right here...I will also change the music on my page more frequently like I promised ages ago, but hey...I'm sorry, can you blame me?...Paramore is by far the best band EVER and not just cause my boyfriend is the bassist. I can't even begin to explain how happy he makes me. He came to stay with me when he had a day off between tours and we seriously had so much fun. I got to show him a lil bit of Roosey, the place I call home...and I also brought him to Broadway Dance Center cause he wanted to see where I pretty much spend most of my life. Then we went across the street from BDC and ate lunch/dinner at this really awesome diner...which, let me add...we sat directly across from Adam Sandler,...too funny. He looks, acts, and sounds exactly the same as he does in his movies. But then, after that, we attempted to go to Central Park but decided we were too cold and wanted to just go home and watch a movie. But before we did that, we did a lil grocery shopping so he could make his favorite meal later on that night...yum. And then, when the time came to pop in the movie, I warned him that I was feeling really sleepy, and sure enough, I fell asleep before the previews were even over. But let me just say, my boy is the cutest thing ever. While I was sleeping, he cleaned up the kitchen and picked up my entire bedroom for me. Seriously, who does that?...I swear, he's perfect. Okay, sorry...I'm startin to gush and I know some of y'all have a hard time stomaching it...lol. I don't care, though, cause he's the best! It was really hard to say goodbye the next day, though...the whole traveling thing is gonna be hard to get used to. However, right now, I am really happy cause in exactly 2 weeks I will be flying out to Nashville to stay with him for a few days. Finally, I get to see all this great stuff I hear about Franklin, Tennessee...yay! But that's it for now...hopefully I'll keep up with this updating thing like I say I will. So until then......Adios!

Wooo...Update!

Helllllllllllllllloooo Every-body!
Again, like always...it's been a while. Someone's been telling me to update my pictures, so I did just that. They're from the Monty show at The Continental back in January. Good times like always although they did decide to be pussies and not come back downtown from their hotel room afterwards for a night of drunken debauchery (only to find out that they did, in fact, make their way downtown after we were all nicely tucked into our beds). What great friends we have! Haha...jk.

More To Come...

Sooo...
I have way more pictures to put up...the John Varvatos Fashion Show & Afterparty and the MC Crew Reunion @ Branch. Not to mention I have a few pics from the Paramore show last night in Newburgh, NY, although most of them were either blurry or too far away. Which speaking of...was the best night ever. I finally got to see my love. So much fun. Was even more amazing than I could have imagined. I'm on cloud 9. Can't wait to see him again tomorrow...and the next day...and the next...oh and then the next. :) He make me so happy. Baby, you need to send me your pics so I can post them all over the internet...haha jk....you know you love your little nerd. But yea...I'm oh-so happy, and I'll leave it at that......for now.

New Video!

So finallllly....I put up a video from class at BDC (Broadway Dance Center). You can find it in the "Make Me Smile/Cry" Media section. Jamie was teaching that night, subbing for Rhapsody. This was one of my favorites he's done...straight up hood! It was so ghetto...we were all just feelin it that night. Definitely hott...you know how I do ;) lol. Anyways, check it out. I'm the one kinda on the left in my camo hoodie and hat. Hopefully I'll get more vids soon...till then...

One Frizzy Down...6 More To Go!

Yep, that's right! A Frizzy is engaged! Can you believe it? Congratulations MEL & ROG! This is insane...and of course, I got the phone call (er more like a voice mail) at like 2:00 in the morning and I instantly begin to tear. I so felt like Jo-Jo...although, I think we are all beginning to become such saps. I'm so happy for the both of you. We are gonna have our first Frizzy-in-law!!! This is great. The date is already set and you know we're gonna make it the best day ever. I still can't believe that in about a year and a half we will have a Mrs. on board. I love you Melon-Butthead...Promise that you'll still continue to catch my snakes even after you are hitched. *tear*

Yup, I'm One Of "Them" Now

So yea, I held off for a year or so, but I finally caved. I didn't want to give in to the addiction, but I failed and bought myself a sidekick about a month or so ago. I knew it'd be trouble so I tried oh-so hard to stay away, but now, of course, I'm addicted. Surprise surprise. So please...from now on, anyone looking to text me...text me on my sidekick where it doesnt cost me any money. In fact, I hope you all text me a lot cause I thoroughly enjoy text-scapades...haha that was way gay. But if you don't have the number already, just hit me up, and I'll send it your way. Oh and a bunch of people have been asking me about the "via hiptop" thing in my AIM profile...well that means I'm on AIM on my sidekick, not at my compy. And for those that don't know what a sidekick is...step up your game and do your research.

♥I'm addicted to this...and I'm not just talking about my sidekick♥

Alright, that's it for now...I'm about to go finish cleaning up my apartment cause well....you know me.

Much love...I love you all!

The past month - BDC Showcase, New Years, Pics, Vegas, Etc.

OMG, can you believe it? I'm actually doing a real "update"...well sorta. I prolly wont be able to cover everything that's happened in the past month, but I'll try. And I just went back and read over everything I just wrote (I rushed to write it all on my lunch break) and noticed it barely made any sense, so I'm making an attempt to clean this thing up. Here it goes:

BDC Showcase (Pictures)
It was (with no surprise) a great show. Of course it got sold out and I was lucky enough to have about 10 people there to see me. Yay! Thank you to everyone who came. I apologize to my father and to Poophead for my booty shorts. Eek! It was fun times though...I got to do a lot of people's makeup which I absolutely love, and y'all know that. More than anything, now, I miss dancing 4 hours a day 6 days a week, though...had to slow it down a bit for health reasons...no worries, I'll be back to normal by February. I just got the DVD of the show a couple days ago, so if I figure a way to upload it to the site, I will do that. But for now, I added pictures to the photo section...so I hope you like!

Salvatore (Tory) Sabatino - Rest In Peace
A close friend of mine had passed away last month on the 12th of December. I miss him dearly...he was a good friend of mine, and I think about him everyday. I'm not gonna elaborate on this right now though, cause I'm at work, and I know this will make me very sad. All my love goes out to his family, Kristin, and my KB. I know you loved him very much like we all did. He was a very special person.

Christmas/New Years (Pictures)
A wonderful time spent with the fam. Our huge traditional Christmas Eve feast was prepared by 2 of my uncles and my Aunt Chris. Their talent in cooking is absolutely amazing. They never fail to impress. After Christmas, my brother brought me back to the city with his girlfriend, Ash, and they stayed with me for a couple days just so we could shop endlessly, and let me just say, the 3 of us are NOT a good combination...we spent well over $1000 combined. But overall, I can't wait for them to come up again in the next month or two cause we had so much fun. As for New Years...it was a blast and all I spent was $12 on a cab ride. Mike, Dan, Phil, and supercool guest, Ryan went with me to my friend, Temis's party after we started out the evening at Bar A. The 6 of us definitely stole the show. I tell ya, we're a crazy bunch! Dancing like monkeys, "gazelling" down every street, and singing to people in the bar and getting them to sing back to us. What can I say? People love us! We were all merry and high on life and ya know what...so was everyone else. That's what I love about the city...we would be singing and dancing on our way to bars and people would just join in with us. However, it was EXTREMELY cold which made me...well, cold. We waited an hour for a cab which was so not fun, and that was supposedly my fault cause I refuse to take rides from gypsy cabs (sorry boys). We ended up goin back to the guys place where I crashed on the "sex" chair. The next morning we had breakfast at a lovely diner where the owner yelled at me for paying! He said the boys should be paying for me. However, I prolly should have been the one to buy their breakfast seeing as they paid for all my drinks the night before. Ah well...next time. (PS...I just put up pics from this night as well.)

Vegas
I just got back from Vegas on Saturday, which I have lots to say about. I went there on business, so it was a ton of work and when I say "a ton" I mean...like A LOT! Put it this way...we put in 47.5 hours of overtime. But we were basically on their time from the moment we woke up until we went to bed, so we got paid pretty much for any hours we were awake. Anytime we were with our co-workers counted. Business dinners were also included, even though dinner was the most fun (regardless of creepy pedafile-ish man). Per person, every dinner cost more than my monthly grocery bill. Just insane the kind of money they throw out at this kind of stuff, but hey, you don't see me minding one bit. If you ever get a chance to eat in Vegas...I totally recommend RM Seafood, Little Buddha, & Shanghai Lily. Mmmm Buddha. Hahaha. But, thankfully, I got to go to Vegas with Temis...we had so much fun together. We're a definitely a pair! And being there with David and Tonya...it was an absolute pleasure to work for them, I love them even more after this. And what's even better, me and Temis have adopted Tim as our "older brother." We LOVE him. We had such a good time. He was basically the one to drag us out every night cause we were the ones that were "too tired." It's been only a week and I miss him already (he doesn't work in our office in NY, so we don't get to see him, like, ever)...but we annoy him everyday with emails, but he loves us...lol. Let's see, what else can I say about Vegas...oh yea...we stayed at Mandalay Bay which Temis and I have nicknamed the "Senior Citizen Hotel." Damnit, what happened to all the cute guys...Vegas was so lacking in that department! It was so depressing. I think cute boys were out of season, haha. And everywhere we went though we got stared at by creepy old men. One even snorted at me...yes, I said snorted. We figured it was some sort of mating call, lol. We only got to leave the hotel once (Friday night). Yes, the hotel is really that big that you don't ever have to leave cause it has everything! We had to put on our walking shoes just to get to the convention center. It was a good workout though...haha. Hmmm what else...OH GOD! How can I forget? I won $400! All in the slot machines baby! I won $20 one day...and then a couple days later I won $60, and then with my winnings, I had a single just hanging around so I snuck off to another slot machine while Tim and Temis were snickering at me saying I was becoming an addict...and then BAM $315!!! I know, I'm just that cool! That was Thursday night...so then on Friday (our last night) after dragging Tim out to dinner with us at Little Buddha in the Palms Hotel, Temis and I decided to gamble a lil bit before we went out to the club so we could digest our wonderful food. And that is where I ended up winning another $40...so I left Vegas up $400. So yeah, I was happy. And since it was our last night and was the only time we really had to actually get out of Mandalay Bay, we wanted to go all out and go dancing and whatnot, so this is where we decided to go to Rain. We got in the back of the line and the bouncer guy came up to us and pulled us out of line and shot us right to the front of the line and got in VIP style...yea, we know we're hot (either that or we were the only girls there that didn't look like plastic). Then, as we were off on our own just having a good time and dancing away, some other bouncer dude apparently liked our style and pulled us out of the crowd and asked us to dance up on stage in the VIP area. So there we were...just Temis and I out there having a good ol' time dancing the night away...what a good time! But still I have to say Vegas boys suck...I even prefer NY boys over them and I'm not a fan of NYC boys. So yeah, that was our week. Our hotel rooms were amazing. They were basically bigger than my apartment. I had my own King size bed...and the bathroom had to have been my favorite part! It had this huge bath tub that was just so amazing. Uh, if only I got to stay in my room more often...lol. It was awesome. Not to mention we did not pay for one thing on this trip (always a plus). David even gave us some money to go gamble with...I swear he's the coolest guy ever...such a genuinely nice person too. I would work for him again anytime! The plane ride home was a lil rough cause of the weather, and my driver had a hard time in the downpour on the way home, so I was just praying to make it home alive, but besides that....my first buisness trip was a great one. :)

KK...that's it for now. I'm off to go meet up with Temis in the East Village. Have a great night everyone...I love you all!

My Show Tomorrow, Joanna on Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Updates...& More!

Hey guys!

I'ma try and make this a quick as possible seeing as I have a million things to do. My parents are coming to visit me tonight as their first time being in NYC! Crazy, huh? I'm excited though.

BDC Showcase!!!

Tomorrow is our bi-annual showcase at Martin Luther King Jr. High (on the upper west side next to Lincoln Center and across the street from Juilliard. Starts at 7:00pm. There might still be a chance to get tickets if you wanna come (just let me know). I have my parents, my brother & his gf, my Jazzyfizzle & V, and people from work coming so I'm really excited. The show is def gonna be hott! Y'all should come out for it.

Joanna on the Victoria's Secret Runway aired December 6th!!!

Joanna is a friend of mine from BDC that I dance with. She booked the majorly famous VS Fashion Show a lil while back, and I had no idea she was gonna be on until I saw her the night of. I was workin at BDC and just watchin the TV when Jill from the front desk asked Joanna when "it" was gonna be on. And I was like..."oh, what are you gonna be on?" And she just casually says the Victoria's Secret show (which please note, I've been waiting impatiently all day to see), so I was so excited to hear this. For those that don't know me, I worked retail at Victoria's Secret for 4 years and have an obsession with lingerie and VS supermodels...so yea, I was stoked! So I only got to see a split second of her as one of the dancing soldiers later that night when it aired (cause they were doin all these fancy shmancy camera tricks and whatnot), but I thought it was fantabulous! Anyways, basically...Joanna fulfilled my ultimate fantasy of combining my 3 favorite things...DANCING on a runway surrounded by VICTORIA'S SECRET SUPERMODELS while wearing hott-ass LINGERIE. Here are a few really really hott pics of her from the show! Isn't that so ridiculously hot? I think that's her in the front on the first pic...and then behind Karolina, Gisele, & Tyra.

New Pics

Ok, so I finally put up some new pics. It's from our night out downtown when we met up with Justin and the rest of the guys from MONTY and some of the guys from THE MATCHES after their show at The Continental. We couldn't get into the show cause tickets sold out way long before we had our chance to buy them, and the place is way too small and crowded for them to try and sneak us in. Plus, they had to worry about getting in the people from record labels looking to check them out. I'm sure that was just a task all on it's own, so we just planned to meet up afterwards. Either way though, we went to some random restaurant and a couple Irish pubs and had ourselves a merry ol' time complete with Irish Car Bombs and rowdy craziness. So if you want...the pics are now posted in the Photo Album for your viewing pleasure...enjoy!!!

PS...If you want any of my pics untagged...just email me or hit me up with an IM or somethin.
